Interlocking pavers over a properly compacted base — patios, driveways, walkways and pool surrounds that can be lifted and reset instead of demolished.
Pavers buy you two things concrete cannot: individual units that flex with ground movement instead of cracking, and the ability to pull up a section and put it back if something underneath ever needs attention.
The install is all in the base. Excavation to the right depth, compacted aggregate, screeded bedding sand, tight joints, edge restraint, and polymeric sand to lock it together and keep weeds out.
