Drainage is the least glamorous line on any estimate and the one most likely to cause a callback if it is skipped. Water that sits against a slab, pools in a low spot, or runs toward a foundation will eventually cost far more than the drain would have.
We plan drainage before the first cut, because retrofitting it means taking apart the work we just finished.
